The city of Tulum received in ancient Mayan name de Zamá (meaning in Maya dawn ) and the current , Tulum ( which means wall in Mayan ), which seems to have been used to refer to the city when it was in ruins . For the many records in murals and other works found in the buildings of the city, it is that Tulum was an important center of worship for the so-called " descending god "
Grand Cenote is the most famous of the area and you may snorkling on it. It is circular , inside
you can admire the stalactites and stalagmites , its depth is up to 10 meters
and is illuminated by natural light which makes it look so spectacular clear
water, discover the tranquility of the underwater world and experience a dive
floating in the caverns filled with fresh water.
Playa del Carmen and this famous Fifth Avenue is the street most
visited by domestic and foreign tourists . Comprises about 4 kilometers long,
from the street 1 to street 40. It is a very safe and busy , especially in the
afternoons and evenings pedestrian avenue. Here most of the trade is
concentrated , from craft shops and souvenirs to restaurants , bars and
nightclubs
